Executive Director of the Financial Services Commission Rohan Barnett has emphasized the importance of understanding and identifying risks in making investment decisions. Mr. Barnett, who was a guest speaker at the Jamaica Stock Exchange orientation on E-Learning, noted that failure to understand risk triggered the sub-prime debacle in the United States, which later led to a global recession.
