_us_244m_in_new_taxes_tn.jpg As Jamaica reels under the impact of a global recession, a ballooning fiscal deficit and a gap in the current budget, Finance Minister, Audley Shaw on Thursday December 17, 2009 announced five new revenue enhancement measures, aimed at yielding twenty-two billion Jamaican dollars or about two hundred and forty-four million U.S. dollars.
