Jamaica’s New Finance Minister Allays Fears of High Interest Rates Print E-mail
Sample ImageJamaica’s new Finance Minister Dr. Peter Phillips has moved swiftly to dispel fears of the revival of any high interest rate regime in the debt ridden island with one of the world’s highest levels of debt to GDP. Dr. Phillips was addressing a popular monthly investor briefing put on by the Jamaican investment company Mayberry on January 18, 2012.
