Jamaica’s fiscal deficit grows by 12% Print E-mail
Sample ImageDespite some containment in government spending, during the eight-month period ended November 2011, Jamaica's fiscal deficit was twelve percent above budget.

Spending out-stripped inflows by nearly fifty-one billion dollars, mainly due to revenues and grants falling four percent below budget, with tax revenue being over-estimated to the tune of 8.2 billion dollars.
